Essential Oils in Educational Environments
Essential Oils in Educational Environments can be a blessing to many classrooms and learning environments. I plan to communicate how using them has helped us in our homeschool environment and how I wish I had used them in the classroom. We used them for health, focus, and rest.
Essential Oils and Health
I am by no means a doctor, and when I say essential oils and health, I am talking about how essential oils can help promote an already healthy immune system which then keeps your kids healthy. The key to a great day at school is making sure it is a healthy day, therefore discussing how to help increase healthy immune system is the easiest and first topic of essential oils in educational environments.
Essential Oils and Focus
After we sit back and get our day started, we have found that the mundane drives us a little insane, so we like to liven up our environment as well as evoke the use of smell to help our memories perform to their highest potential. As a teacher, I heard research that stated that peppermint with math helps the brain solve problems. Chewing helps the mind be creative, etc. Here we can explore how using certain oils during different times of day can help you use your brain power to its highest function. Being able to focus and retain are key to being successful so it only makes sense to discuss focus as we learn about essential oils in educational environments.
Essential Oils and Rest
So, finally, the best way to retain is allowing your body to rest and put all the information for the day in the correct spot, so it can be retrieved at a later date. Essential oils can promote relaxation and rest to help encourage your body to organize and sort its daily adventures into retention categories for later. Healthy sleeping habits not only promote retention but also encourage our bodies immune systems, therefore the final category of essential oils in educational environments is rest.
